Northwest Tennessee and Obion County has a multitude of things to see and do. Our area is rich in history, culture and activities. Click on the underlined features to connect via web link.

  • Reelfoot Lake - Formed by violent earthquakes during the winter of 1811 and 1812. Located between Obion and Lake Counties in Tennessee and the Kentucky state line. This lake is our most popular and single biggest draw to the area. A hunters and fishermans paradise.
  • Mississippi River - "Father of Waters" as it was named by the indians of the area, long before the area was settled. It is located approximately 25 miles to our West.
  • Kentucky Lake - Tennessee's largest man-made lake. Built to provide hydroelectric power to the Southeastern United States. TVA operates a dam and hydroelectric plant in Kentucky. Ky Lake is another sportsman's paradise with thousands of acres of water.
  • Dixie Gun Works - The largest retailer of blackpowder guns, accessories and supplies, in the United States.
  • Abernathy's Harley Davidson - The oldest, family owned Harley Davidson dealership in Tennessee. Located right here in Union City on West Main Street.
  • Davy Crockett's last home - The great frontiersman, statesman and defender of our great country lived, hunted and raised a family in our area. A replica of his last home is in Rutherford, Tn.
  • Boss Hoss Motorcycles and Trikes - The one and only, Boss Hoss, is built in Dyersburg, Tn. The largest motorcycle's and trike's commercially built in America, all sporting V-8 automobile engines.
  • General Nathan Bedford Forrest - Buried in Memphis Tennessee, one of the greatest Confederate Generals to command in the war between the states. Several historical markers throughout the county and in neighboring counties tell of General Forrest battles and victories.
  • Everett-Stewart Regional Airport - Obion County host the only regional airport in Northwest Tennessee. Runway extensions will increase the length to over 6000'. A fixed base operator is in place to offer fuel and hanger space.
  • Discovery Park of America -   An interactive museum and meeting place, not just for the citizens of Obion County, but visitors from near and far.
  • I-69 Interstate Corridor - One of the newest Canada to Mexico routes will cross the entire length of Obion County. This project should bring thousands of more travelers through our county.
  • Obion County Museum - Founded in 1970. Showcases different themes throughout the year. Offers the public a history of our county and the residents that founded it.
  • Full Throttle Distillery - Located in the sleepy little town of Trimble, Tn (population 637). Childhood home of Michael Ballard and new home of Full Throttle "S'loonshine" Distillery. Only 18 miles from UCRV down US Hwy 51 South.
